From a sample portrait album
Here’s another sample album that I designed recently. Jen’s a good friend of mine, so it was fun to use photos of her adorable family for this sample. We did this photo shoot last October in Virginia Beach. It will be a 6″x6″ flushmount album with a leather cover.

I admire your work so much. This is what I strive for in my own photographs.
I love the pictures. How old are the boys? They seem easy to manage! I photographed my friends’ family recently and her boys are 8, 6, and 4 and they were all over the place and bored in no time.

charlotte, i don’t know, you either need to start teaching us how to shoot as good as you, or teach us to create such fantastic albums! really, you are great at it all! 🙂

Yes, from your photos, it looks very similar. I don’t remember all of the wooded area being around but I mostly stayed in one place because I was running around with two little girls hahah

Nice! Those sailboats sound cool! We took these pictures at a state park in VA Beach, but I can’t remember what it’s called.
It’s technically part of Va Beach (the area, not the beach). I’ve done a shoot there once and there are abanoned sail boats and the views are amazing!

Yeah, 6×6 can feel quite substantial with a sturdy enough album style. It can feel miniature with certain albums.

Hmm. Good to know. I’d done a 7×7 but it wasn’t a flushmount (magazine style instead) and it just felt flimsy. I think the flushmount might help.
Is Chicks beach a part of Virginia Beach?
Yeah, 6×6 is my most popular portrait album size. It’s small enough to be easy to carry to grandparents’ houses or to work, and the smaller size also makes it more affordable.
