I’m excited about my new sample proof book! It is bound in a pretty sage green linen, and it just feels durable and lovely. I’ve offered these books to a few clients who’ve requested them, but this is the first time I’ve ordered a sample for myself.
If any of my clients want one of these books, please let me know! They are a great way to sort through hundreds of wedding photos, and they make it easy to carry all your photos around and share them with people.
It really is… it’s lightweight, streamlined, and still really pretty. 🙂
I’m glad you like it! I don’t include these proof books in my packages; they are an optional add-on to my packages. Not everyone needs one, but lots of people love them!
There are quite a few digital photo book companies out there that make similar products. I use a pro line for mine, but I have had some success with http://www.mypublisher.com for my own family’s photo books. They have their own templates for the photo layouts, so you don’t have to design them in Photoshop.
There are lots of ways to choose an album company, and your choice will depend upon your own priorities, budget, and style. I’m sorry your wedding photographer left you to figure it out for yourselves! If you have any specific questions, let me know, and I’ll be happy to help!

Hmm. We have 500 photos from our wedding nearly 5 years ago and still haven’t ordered any albums. Fortunately we have digital versions of them–is there a place other than snapfish we could produce this sort of album and then review to create “real” albums? Do you have any thoughts about what makes a good album? Our wedding photographer just handed us our prints and negatives and disappeared.
