Dan and Lynda
      Vienna Firehouse

      September 30, 2006

Congratulations to Lynda and Dan! They got married in such a creative location–a fire station! The whole event was fun, unique, and touching. The firemen even gave all of us a tour and let us climb on the trucks. πŸ™‚

Years ago, Lynda told me that she wanted me to shoot her wedding whenever she found someone she wanted to marry. Now that her time has come, it was a true honor to be able to be there for her. Lynda and Dan, we’re so happy for you! We hope you’re having a great time in Jamaica!

More photos from their wedding day

      Cute!

Lynda was wearing this hoodie that was custom-made with Dan’s last name.

Seeing Dan for the first time

Minutes before the ceremony–the best man showing the rings to one of the bridesmaids

After the ceremony–congratulations from Dan’s mother and brother

The fire station had this wonderful antique truck that they let us play with.

They had a Pez cake topper!

This is such a great idea–a kids’ activity table, with crayons, toys, and hats.

The party was full of adorable kids

      First dance

After the first dances, the firemen invited guests downstairs to tour the station.
Here a fireman is giving a demo. After he got all dressed in his gear, the kid on
the right told him, “You look like Darth Vader!”

      A hug for Mr. Fireman

Of course the photographers didn’t want to miss out on the fun πŸ˜‰

Lynda’s brother DJed the lively party with an Ipod.

One of my favorite moments of the night–“It’s Raining Men”

Can you tell we had fun?

I absolutely love the photo of the lacing up the dress! And the floral arrangment of her bouquet…so pretty!

      These pictures are fantastic!

Charlotte – I wanted to say ‘Hi’ because I friended you so I can keep seeing your pictures more regularly. I’ve watched your work through and always really loved it.

it really looks like you had fun! πŸ™‚

My mom volunteers for admin stuff at the fire house (bingo, etc.). She was able to get the huge room for only the clean up fee, so it was too good a deal to pass up! AND so fun!
      πŸ™‚
      thanks!

      WOO HOO!!!!!!!!

      yippee!!!!!!!!
I love you guys! You did an absolute AMAZING JOB!
I had so much fun!! The smile on my face shows that! oh, and the wine that seems to have intruded into every pic! lol.
Dan told me his cousin’s were “freaking the photographer”, lol. hope they were at least polite about it! πŸ˜‰
      Love you guys!
      thanks so much!

What lense do you use? Your pictures are all so light!

That is such a creative, fun idea for a wedding. That last picture is too fun. πŸ™‚ Is Dan a fireman, is that why they did it at the firehouse?

      How beautiful!

It was a gorgeous ceremony & day and all were captured on film so elegantly! LOVE THEM ALL! Have a great day Charlotte and hope the next batch is just as lovely:)

These are great! She looked really lovely.

I especially like the two of the little girl (coloring and just sitting there), and I love the “It’s Raining Men” picture!

I love the colors of their wedding…those flowers are gorgeous.

I think this is a dream wedding! she’s just like Mr. Dreamy! He cried off and on during the wedding because that’s how he gets! I *love* how the firehouse was decorated with flowers and white lights. Did Lynda do that? It’s BEAUTFIUL! Dan looks so handsome and happy. What a good day!

What a gorgeous wedding! At a firehouse! I hope she has lots of kids because they are going to adore hearing about the wedding day and looking at the photos.

Lynda is So pretty! her dress is beautiful! I love her Donavan hoodie!

Hi! New reader (and fan!) here!

I love how you’ve captured the fun of this wedding, and the backlight one of Lydia getting her dress buttoned is stunning.

I’m in the Baltimore area and would love to work with you sometime for family portraits!

      katherine

      AWESOME!

These came out great! I can’t wait to show Tim! What a wonderful couple and absolutely gorgeous photos! The place is so unique and it just makes it all the better that they take time out of their life to be volunteers! Great job!

Wow. gorgeous, gorgeous. The emotion is there. I love her dress. You captured it all.

Fantastic pictures as always. You manage to capture the moment better than anyone I know. Do you ever submit any of your photos for contests or anything like that? I bet they’d do well if you did (or could).

And I LOVE the Pez wedding cake!!!

      Pez

I guess the Pez on the cake top must be the thing to do these days – my cousin just got remarried a couple weeks ago, and they did the same thing:

You made me cry! Maybe it’s because I know Lynda, but these really touched me.

OH! What GREAT photos, what a GREAT wedding–it looks like it was the perfect day!!!! Congrats, Lynda!!!!!!!!

The firefighter demo photo is great. My fiance is a firefighter and since he’s one of the newest guys, he’s the one that has to get all geared up. I love the idea of a firehouse wedding. It’s so original.

      Great photos as always.

I have been following your work for the past month or so, having been lucky enough to “find” you via someone elses journal.

I am SO enjoying viewing a bit of magic that you have captured in someone elses life. Thank you for allowing us a peek in!!! πŸ™‚

what lens did u use for these?

      Wow πŸ™‚ It’s great again πŸ™‚
Your pictures very nice and high-quality.
I think that it’s shots of cinema about love πŸ™‚
      Sorry, my English isn’t well.
Please tell me what’s photocamera you use?

oh … and kudos to you & mike. You two have really been getting around the country this year! πŸ™‚

These are just wonderful! When Lynda teased us with some family pictures on Sunday, I was just DYING to see yours. These are WONDERFUL! She looks amazing (no surprise), the location looks fun, functional, and very pretty and everyone there is just so full of life. Very fun, loving couple. Congrats to L&D!
