Kristen and Eric

I couldn’t decide which photo better revealed their personalities, so I decided to post both! Kristen and Eric are a fun-loving, hilarious couple who are also very devout in their Catholic faith. These two aspects of their personalities led to a wedding day that was elegantly profound as well as totally wacky. I loved the combination!

I had a blast with Kristen and Eric during our engagement session earlier this year. They keep me laughing! They lucked out on Saturday, with a perfect 80-degree day with vibrant autumn colors.

Thanks so much for asking me to be a part of your wedding, Kristen and Eric! I hope you’re having a great time on your Caribbean honeymoon! Thanks also to my friend Holly Pacione for shooting this wedding with me!

Just before the ceremony began, Kristen hurried upstairs for private moment with Eric.

Seeing each other for the first time that day

Kristen is a teacher; her fifth grade students greeted guests as they arrived.

Holy Ghost is a magnificent church.

Kristen’s students sang a song at the end of the ceremony.

Kristen must have so much fun with these students!

The wedding party rode in a CU-themed limo to the reception. (Photo by Holly)

I loved this moment between Eric and his grandparents.

Kristen and Eric had the most beautiful fall colors for their wedding day.

We had some beautiful setting sunlight for their portraits.

I’m not certain, but it looks like he is sticking his nose into her eye here. They’re crazy like that.

It’s fun to watch Kristen and Eric interact — they’re so playful!

The meal began with a prayer by Father Dave.

I thought it was hilarious that they wore these goofy sunglasses during their first dance.

      Ooooh—OH! Livin’ on a prayer.

These two were amazing dancers. (Photo by Holly)

This awesome tradition was new to me: the groom’s dad painted this chair for a Polish chair-breaking tradition.

The tradition states that the bride’s brother smashes the chair, and the number of pieces represent the number of kids they’ll have. Kristen and Eric, congratulations on your future seven children!

      He definitely was! 🙂

Ok, hten he’s just probably very happy this day 🙂

Actually that photo is very real. I took it during the ceremony, and they were both praying. I wouldn’t pose something like that.

The idea at the first one is great but I don’t believe the man is praying 🙂

Kristen and Eric told me that it was important for me to capture the essence of the ceremony and its rich traditons.

I’m not surprised. It’s the meaning of the ceremony that makes it so beautiful in a way that’s both (how should I put it?) both complex and simple.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen anything Smurf related. 🙂

What a gorgeous couple and beautiful wedding! It seems like it was a lovely day.

I LOVE THESE! I kept thinking “oh that’s my favorite!….wait…no, that’s my favorite! Oh…wait…THAT’S my favorite!” I love them all, they look like a total blast to work with (and be friends with!)

Oh My Gosh, what a beautiful location! The outside shots are amazing!!!

I love them! And their colors! And their church! And the picture with the class of kids!
      Great job, as always. 😀

I totally missed the baby bottle, but went back and saw it again! That is a great photo!

I love knowing that you can sense all the joy in their day! It’s true that Kristen has a gorgeous smile!

I’m glad you think so, because Kristen and Eric told me that it was important for me to capture the essence of the ceremony and its rich traditons.

Yup, those are bride and groom Smurfs on the chair! Three of my engagement portraits were on it, too. 🙂

The architecture was spectacular. I love churches that make you stop in your tracks when you step in the door.

That’s great to hear, thank you!

I love the tipped over baby bottle behind the panda’s martini. Even the babies and pandas partied hard that night.

I’m so happy to hear it! That’s exactly what I strive to do. 🙂

Their reaction to the seven pieces was priceless!

Everything about this wedding is gorgeous! The church, the colors, the bride & groom (Kristen even has beautiful teeth, I’m so jealous!). There is so much joy in this post it’s incredible.

You’ve captured the tenor of that ceremony so aptly. It’s very moving, because you focused on what really matters in a Catholic wedding.

      Love the glasses picture.

…are those smurfs on that chair?

That church is a photographer’s dream – intricate designs, the swooping lines, so architecturally magnificent. Wow!

These are great, and really captured how fun the couple was. Thanks for sharing the joy!

Oh yes, and the Church was amazing!!!!

I love all of your photos, but this wedding is one of my favorites! I loved seeing the children from Kristen’s class at the wedding, and singing at the end of the ceremony. Beautiful wedding! Vibrant colors. Oh, and that panda with the martini, you know he had a good time. :o) Love it!

Again, you seem to capture the joy and fun in a couple’s next step. I found myself smiling really big when looking at these photos! Thanks, Charlotte.
