What a wonderful wedding it was for Kim and Ken! They got married Saturday at our favorite venue, with a dramatic backdrop of the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. It was such a fun wedding, and we really loved being a part of it.

Kim and Ken, we are so happy for you! Here are some preview photos for you to enjoy on your honeymoon. I hope you have a wonderful time in Portugal!

Photos of the wedding of Kim and Ken

What bride wouldn’t love to wake up to this view on her wedding day?

The spectacular view from Kim’s bridal suite.

Kim’s dogs, Calypso and Sundance, were in the wedding!

It’s wonderful to photograph weddings with Mike and see his more masculine viewpoint. He understands how it feels for a groom to wear a ring for the first time; often it’s the first time the groom has ever worn jewelry. Mike notices these moments that I’d otherwise miss.

Isn’t that first picture one of your all-time best photos?

I mean, given the meaning, expressions, background, and controversial central focus it’s not just a picture of a wedding.

Cute Pictures Of Sundance And Calypso!

It was great that Sundance and Calypso were invoted to their Mommy’s wedding.

And now they both have a great Daddy!

You and Mike are soooooooo lucky to live in one of the most scenic areas in the entire world.

And I hope that your dog and cats were extra nice to you on Mother’s Day. After all, you’re their Mommy! πŸ™‚

Heh… funny how the guys are usually playing games or relaxing the morning of a wedding, and the girls are running around like mad trying to get dressed and ready!!!

You and Mike did a good job photographing the wedding! Looks like a perfect day! And that view, ahh sooo pretty!!!

      Her bridal suite was magnificient!

I just love the shot of the bride’s gown hanging in the room with this gorgeous view!

Hi there! It’s great to meet you, and I definitely don’t mind if you add me. πŸ™‚

      Hello:)

I saw your photos in photography community and looked at your great portrait photography in your LJ. I hope to learn from you, hope you don’t mind if I add you πŸ˜‰

I know what you mean! There are tons of lenses that I still want to buy, and it’s a constant struggle to determine which ones I really need.

I love that one, too. It’s just perfect.

      The dogs were awesome!

Why was your mom upset about the golf? I think it’s a great idea!

Thanks, Kira! I’ve been loving your recent Africa series!

Wow, thanks. I think everything came together beautifully that day. πŸ™‚

Your photos of animals are always priceless, but I think the real standout for me in this batch is the one of the groom feeling the wedding ring on his finger for the first time.

      Beautiful shots! Great work.

awww how cute is it to have dogs carry the rings! and the wedding flowers/bouquet were very original and beautiful too.

my silly brother went golfing with friends the morning of his wedding too. πŸ™‚ my mom was so upset because my dad wanted to go with. hehe

Thank You for the info Charlotte. πŸ™‚

I’m really trying to figure out what kind of lenses to get. There are SOOOOO many that it’s really hard to decide. I really like the results you get with yours tho! πŸ™‚

      Charlotte.
      Great great photos!!!

I think this is the most amazing series of wedding photos you’ve ever posted. What an adorable couple! The setting was gorgeous and the bride’s gown was stunning (and the doggies are so cute!).

Thanks! It was a beautiful day indeed.

My favorite lens is the 85mm 1.8. The four main lenses that Mike and I use are: 85mm, 50mm, 17-40mm, and 70-200mm.

      Those arw absolutely GORGEOUS Charlotte!

May I ask what lenses you generally use when you photograph weddings?

Mike is the same way–he doesn’t wear a watch, either. Sometimes when he needs to concentrate at work, he’ll take off his ring and put it next to the computer, because it’s distracting! Funny, isn’t it.

      WOW.

      That’s all I can say. Just… WOW. πŸ™‚

you are so right about that photo with the groom’s ring – when i brought david’s ring home, he tried it on to make sure it fit, and the first thing he said was, “it’s going to be weird to have a ring on all the time” an di know he didn’t mean it in a bad way. david doesn’t even wear a watch, so this will be a totally new thing for him.

and wow, those are two really beautiful people. lovely wedding!

What incredibly photos of a gorgeous couple! I want to look like Kim when I grow up πŸ˜‰
