The wedding of Kim and John
      Kim’s family farm in Maryland
      September 2, 2006

Last year, Kim and John got engaged at sunrise. They had waited a long time for the sun to come up, but the clouds were thick that day, and with disappointment, they began to accept the likelihood that there would be no colorful sunrise. Then the clouds began to part, revealing beautiful colors. John proposed at that moment.

It was fitting that they got married in the glow of a sunset that arrived after a storm, just in time for their ceremony.

More pictures from their ceremony and reception

The ladies arrived at the tent by limo.

They had taken dance lessons, and surprised everyone with an amazing first dance.

We saw this couple sharing a romantic dance outside the tent.

Hi there! It’s great to meet you. Thanks for all the great feedback–I’m so glad to hear how much you’ve enjoyed our photography. It’s definitely ok for you to add me as a friend, thanks!

Thanks so much. It’s a true pleasure to spend my career with happy families and couples in love.

Such a romantic way to propose. You and Mike got some nice pictures!

I found you while browsing around here on Live Journal. Your photography is AMAZING. You are really able to capture the feeling and the emotions of the moment…I got goosebumps (the good ones!) from looking at some of your beautiful work!

I’ve added you as a friend, if that is okay?

Saw you as a friend of lonestaryankee. Nice wedding pics. The bride is busting with happiness, and her dad looked so proud. Loved the one of the couple outside dancing. It’s always nice to see people in love.

I adore her blonde hair, and that gown was absolutely perfect.

I was so happy for them that they had their sunset wedding that they had dreamed of.

Absolutely! I’m in awe of people who can organize a wedding at home. That must be a ton of work!

It was at her family’s home near Westminster, MD.

Thanks! I love how you can see stars in the picture of the tent at night. The large version is prettier than this web-sized one.

Mike does such beautiful pictures of hands and other close-up details. He sees so many beautiful things and small moments.

First of all, she’s gorgeous, her hair, her dress, her smile, she’s beautiful! And her dad looks at her like he has been wrapped around her finger since the moment he saw her first.

      I love these photos!

i love the sunset ligting (and colors!). What a great time!

      I agree with you 🙂

Looks like a beautiful wedding! 🙂 AND a beautiful couple to boot!

where exactly in maryland is that? it looks A LOT like where friends of mine got married 2 years ago…

      Great job, as always!

I love the colors in those outdoor pictures – I especially like the one of the cornfield and the one of the tent at night. I also love the one of their hands (where you can see his ring) while they’re dancing. The one of the bride dancing with her father is so sweet, too.

Aww they seem like such a fun couple! And the pictures are beautiful, as always!

And I love the one of the couple stealing a private dance outside of the tent. How sweet!
