Jeremy
      Downtown Colorado Springs
      August 6, 2008

Jeremy is entering his senior year of high school in two weeks, and yesterday he and I documented this milestone with a fun photo session in Colorado Springs. We wandered around the streets and alleys downtown, which was a great location for this young guitarist. I was thrilled that he brought his gorgeous new electric guitar, because it was a blast to photograph.

I understand. 🙂 Well if you ever decide to wander north and explore Colorado, drop me a note.

Thanks, Charlotte! I’ll have to check with my friends/parents. Unfortunately, it’s probably unlikely. I’m a pretty big loner when it comes to the whole friend thing. Let’s just say that I sit with my teacher at lunch. =)

I wish I could do your portraits, too! If you and your friends can share the travel expenses, perhaps I could schedule a few portrait sessions there over the summer. Just let me know if you would like to arrange something like that.

I so wish I could afford to have you come take my senior portraits this summer! Sadly, I live in Phoenix.

I always love looking at your pictures and meant to comment on these back in August. You do an amazing job – I wish I was half as good at photography as you are.

It took me a week to think of who he looks like – Bob Weir, circa 1966! Here’s a pic http://www.dead.net/sites/deadbeta.rhino.com/files/images/196610xx_0102.jpg

And keep in mind I mean this as a HUGE compliment, both because Bob Weir was good looking, and he was certainly successful with the guitar. So Jeremy’s got a bright future ahead of him!

very nice! i like the red splash with his tie!

      Future Rock Star!

Within two or three years, Jeremy will be one of the biggest rock stars in the world.

Bruce Springsteen, eat your heart out!

      I agree

      amazing, as always!! 🙂

      Great shots, Charlotte!

      what a handsome young man!

I love it when boys are brave enough to be unique – both in appearance and attitude.

      He seems to have both.

Love the first fire escape one!! (I think it’s a fire escape – the fourth one)

Thanks! That’s definitely what I was going for. 🙂

Funny! Yeah, I try to avoid stuff like that. 😉

Well there are still a lot of senior portraits done like that, but it isn’t really my style. It didn’t seem to be Jeremy’s style, either.

He did play while we were shooting, but since the guitar wasn’t plugged in, I couldn’t hear much. But still I was impressed!

I’m so glad that you love them! I hope Jeremy will, too. I can’t wait to show you the rest!

Well, those are about a bajillion times better than my senior portraits, which were all gross, soft focus crappy things in front of lame backgrounds!

Agreed! I am so jealous of his hair!

Love the first fire escape one!! (I think it’s a fire escape – the fourth one)

      Those are great photos!

Senior portraits sure have come a long, long way since my high school years. Much more creative and not so “posed” if you will.

Love the leading lines in the first metal grate pic! 🙂

      Great photos as always!

Makes me miss Colorado Springs. 🙁

Wow, what a beautiful head of hair! He looks like a fun guy to photograph 🙂

Yeah that one screams first album cover.

The 4th and 5th ones and all the guitar ones are just awesome, they’re all great, but those are the ones that I really loved.

wow, what a cool looking kid. . . I bet these were a blast to take. Did he play any music for you while you were shooting? :] My favorite is the one where he’s holding the guitar and you cropped his face out. It’s beautiful.

my kid is the coolest 🙂

Oh, god, Charlotte these are amazing.

      Mom just got all teary!

Cannot wait to see the rest. I love these so so much. Thank you!
