Chrissy and Barry
      Denver, Colorado
      October 28, 2006

Chrissy and Barry had such a fun wedding! They had the biggest wedding party I’d ever seen, all of whom had crazy senses of humor. Chrissy and Barry are fortunate to have so many great friends. They kept us laughing all day long!

Newlywed Chrissy and Barry traveled to their reception in a 1940s Rolls Royce. I like how this candid photo features Barry’s brand new ring. They got married at Bethany Lutheran Church, had a portrait shoot in Cherry Hills, and then celebrated at the Terrace Gardens at Ken Caryl. It was a gorgeous, warm day, with clear blue skies.

Chrissy and Barry, I hope you have a wonderful time in Australia! You’re going to love it there.

More photos from their wedding day

Mike and I met up with Chrissy and her mother at a salon in Cherry Creek.
Chrissy showed off her tank top with her new married name!

While she was getting dressed at the church, a package arrived from Barry.

      It was a beautiful neckace!

The bridesmaids wore chocolate-colored dresses of their choice.
I like this photo of one of the bridesmaids.

I told you they were hilarious!

The best man was Barry’s identical twin! That’s Barry on the right, and Brian on the left.

The rings, in the reflections of the church’s blue stained glass windows.

After the ceremony, I got to ride in the front seat of the Rolls Royce!

We went to a gorgeous mansion in Cherry Hills for the portraits.

The maid of honor wrote a hilarious poem!

Barry’s brother brought everyone to tears during his toast.

      I love this one.

They had a photo booth! It was a huge hit!

I have been following your blog for awhile now, but I had never seen this wedding. I was intrigued because it was at my family’s church which happens to be across the street from me. (I’m looking at it as I type.) I looove the photo of the Rolls going down the street because, not only is it awesome, it looks right past my house! Only our trees are in the photo, but such a cool new perspective for me! Awesome!

Thanks! I’ve never shot in infrared–my style tends to be crisp and vivid instead of dreamy. But tonight I saw a gorgeous infrared wedding photo at an exhibit, and it inspired me to give it a try sometime. 🙂

It definitely would have been tricky getting a photo booth up there! And yes, I understand they are quite expensive. But they are definitely a hit with the guests!

As always Charlotte, most awesome photo’s!
Do you ever shoot infra red? OMG, I love the dreamy look of it!

we were going to do a photo booth but it wouldn’t have fit up and out of the elevator! plus it was some huge $$. but it definitely looks like it would’ve been fun!
i love the different dresses and my fave is the girl’s dress in the ‘footloose’ pic!
      good stuff char and mike!

      i know! *sings “it’s a small world”*

He does have a twin! (only he’s engaged, sorry!)

of course you know I love all your shots (even though I don’t always say it), but damn, he’s kinda cute.

      Re: Nice!

Thanks, Evrim! That’s a great compliment coming from you–I love your stuff!

Definitely, I think it would be great there. The non-standard crop, the angles, the use of negative space, and the lighting make it a moment to cheer for.

      Nice!

Very nice shots Charlotte! I love the dance stuff! Rock on!

Thanks! I’m glad you think so… I’ll give it a shot in the next WPJA contest. 🙂

I would submit that photo booth shot to competitions or wedding mags. It’s great, in the truest sense.

Wow, that looks like a blast. Again, you did a fantastic job.

What a gorgeous happy couple! And, you and Mike did a great job photographing the wedding, nice job.

I’m thinking I’ll do that now – one of my bridesmaids will be having a baby two or three months before our wedding, so if she can be a bridesmaid at all, I think that would give her the best chance of getting something she likes that fits her.

      Oh cool… small world!

The dinner party was great! Scott and Sean have a fantastic house, and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed chatting with Scott’s mom, too. 🙂

I really love it when bridesmaids get to choose their own dresses. I love the variety and the way that each dress suits each person.

is actually an old friend of mine from the high school days who now lives up in boulder.

how was scott and sean’s dinner party? i wish we could have made it!

Yeah! I normally don’t love the different-dresses-for-each-bridesmaids thing (although I suppose it’s growing on me), but those girls all look great.

No, we never use flash during wedding ceremonies–it’s too disruptive. We use flash during the procession and recession, but not during the ceremony itself. These ceremony pictures were all taken with natural light and fast lenses. I particularly love our 135mm f2.

Isn’t that the truth! Even the bridesmaids and groomsmen were gorgeous.

I really do get great clientele! I love my couples. 🙂

Hi there! It’s great to meet you! 🙂

I’m pretty sure they rented it in the Denver area, but I’m not sure where, sorry!

Lol… I think it was Miller Lite!

Did the church let you use flash during the ceremony? I am thinking once I go pro I may need to invest in a 12-24mm wide angle for big ass wedding parties like that one.

Wow, they all look like models. Great job, as always.

hi, a friend sent me to your LJ because she thinks you’re amazing. i do too. i dabble in photography but wish i had an ounce of your talent! just thought i’d say hi 🙂

of course, OUTSTANDING! what a beautiful couple, venue, the car, the mansion, huge bridal party, looks like it was a blast. you get such great clientelle!

      P.S. Awesome photos, as usual!!!!

I don’t know if you’d know this, but did they rent their Rolls from somewhere in the Denver/Metro area? My mom and I are having the hardest time finding one for my wedding and she really wants one.

One thing I always think when I look at your photos is “I honestly can’t pick a favorite, as they are all amazing.” BEAUTIFUL!!!

      Lovely, as always.
Looks like it was tons of fun!

OMG! Is that Miller Light they guys are drinking and from cans? Steve would love that at his wedding!!! hehehehe Great pictures. Looks like a FUN weddding 🙂
