Charlotte and Mike

Yes, you read that right! This engaged couple is named Charlotte and Mike. Charlottes and Mikes just seem to go together.

Charlotte and Mike met in a yoga class, and later Mike proposed during a class. They are both devoted practitioners, and I was enthralled by their skills! During these poses on the rocks, I was holding my breath from awe and slight fear. These guys are awesome.

We started with a more typical engagement portrait session in the Garden of the Gods, and then we set up for some fun twilight yoga photos. I had so much fun that I kept them there long after dark! Charlotte and Mike are getting married in two weeks, and my Mike and I are really looking forward to it!

I asked them to turn around and look at me, but they didn’t want to stop kissing!

I love this one. Charlotte and Mike are fierce.

      My favorite. 🙂

      Great Photos (As Always)

What a coincidence it would have been had Charlotte’s last name been Geary and Mike’s last name had been Pritchard!

Wow, what an amazing and unique couple!

      Dang. They are flexible. 🙂

      Love it!

I love all the Yoga ones the best!

quick question – how do you get those black frame lines around your photos?

      thanks!

      Romantic and creative couple! 🙂

Simply beautiful, Charlotte–were you working with mostly off-camera strobes for the evening shots? They’re so dramatic!

They look so comfortable with each other and so in love.
These are really extraordinary pictures of their love.

      Fantastic.

      wow, truly amazing charlotte!

OK, I know I’m in an emotional state right now from preggo hormones but that last one has me all teared up!

I did do a double take on the names. That’s pretty cool though!

I love the shots. They are really flexible. haha

      our pics..

Charlotte! We LOVE the photos! And we had so much fun! Thank you, thank you, thank you! –Charlotte & Mike

I love the nighttime yoga shots…those are amazing!

They’re going to get old and stiff one day and while they’re entertaining the grandchildren these pics will comes out. “When I was 4 times your age I was 20 times as flexible! Now work on your poses!”

I am also a fan of Charlotte’s work and my husband and I are learning photography together to start our own business…Charlotte has been nothing but kind and helpful to me. You are doing great and I have heard somewhere imitation is the best form of flattery.

I love these! What a cool couple!

I don’t know what happened to my comment!

      I’ll post again…Charlotte…Nicely done!

Will you share your lighting set up with us? I am trying to learn and when I see a beautifully lit photo…I want to emulate the set up…thanks!

      Seriously ridiculous. 🙂

gorgeous, Charlotte!! I love the last one and the fourth from the last a lot. The first one is awesome, too!

I don’t own the LJ template or the colors or formatting. As long as people don’t use my photos or my logo, everything is fine.

Oh my gosh, that’s so funny! We three couples should form a club or something. 😉

So so so so so so so so SO beautiful.

      those are great photos!

      too cute.
Im a Charlotte and I have a Mike too.

Hi Heather! You’re doing great for your first year! I’ve added you to my friends list.

Yeah, except for the fact you format your entries and post your pictures like her too.
I mean, come on. Get creative.

OMG, what fun! How great. I love the yoga pictures, because that is uniquely them, you know?

      I am definitely a fan of Charlotte’s.
I also like the layout that she chose for her lj.
I was actually concerned that it might look too much like copying her layout, however I figured that it wouldn’t be a big deal if I chose the same layout since it is an lj option, and since there are many who use template websites, etc. I don’t wish to appear as a copycat and your comment shows that I do, at least to you. I am still experimenting with the way I want to present my blog, and have been contemplating a new setup that would match my new website.
I assure you that my photography is my own as much as I look up to Charlotte and other experienced, talented photographers.
I do not claim to be as good as Charlotte. I just bought my first slr this year! (this is in response to your comment at my lj, where you said I was not as good as Charlotte).
Well, that’s all I’m going to say in my defense.

wow! i don’t think david could balance me like that!!!

Haha, their names – so funny.

That last photo is truly awesome. All of the photos are but yeah, that last one is truly unique and not something you normally see when it comes to engagement photos.

      Haha – Charlotte and Mike!

      !!!
      awesome!!
      especially the twilight ones.
      🙂

I like your taste… you always do great work and that last pic is Fan tas tic!

awesome 🙂 So cool that you could capture their interest in their engagement photos.

The last one is just brilliant !

Wow, what a perfect way to highlight this couple… literal and metaphorical unity!

      Lovely!
